Okay i'll try to make this short and sweet,
I have a 94' and theres no heat and no cruise control ( possible linked?) . I had my dad help me change the heater core earlier this spring due to a massive coolant leak. The core was junk (or so i was told). So this was in april and it still didn't work, so i put off finding the exact problem till august. Now its october and I've done everything. Changed the thermostat, checked hoses, replaced the vaccum resivoir. Air blows out barely warm/cool air. I should probably mention that the A/C worked fine this summer. I think I may need to bled the air out of the hoses and I was told to look for a bleder screw? somewhere near the thermostat, any idea where I should look and if I should look at something else. Any help would be appreciated as I've posted on about a million other sites with no response. Thank you |

Re: please help!!!
Is the air that blows out still Hot? If so I would check the heater switch. It might not be converting from the normal air to defrost.I don't know on the year. But I do know that the cruise control is vacum operated and do know that some heater control switchs are too..I would check to see.

Re: please help!!!
What I would do is to check the hose pressure at the heater core.If you feel pressure it is not under the hood.It would be in the heater switch.

Re: please help!!!
The heater switch is the dial the you use to control from cold to hot.I have had to replace alot of the on my cars and friends too.Just start the car and turn the screw until you see fluid only. Also turn on the heater.Good luck!!
