Those are two different generation cars with two different engines.
The 5th generation (94-97) V6 Accord is a SOHC NON-Vtec. The engine in that was a C27A4 (170hp) http://www.accordinglydone.com/data/...s.php?Series=C The 6th generation (98-02) V6 Accord is a SOHC VTEC The engine is this one is J30A1 (200hp) http://www.accordinglydone.com/data/...s.php?Series=J
