Turbo Got Screwed!!!!!!!!

So my car was at the shop for about two weeks to get repainted because I was in a minor accident where some drunk guy in a F-150 ran me off the road, but all that happened was me going into the bushes. Then today when I go to pick it up from the body shop, I start driving it to the gas station, and as I'm about to get there, I notice that the oil gauge for the turbo is reading at zero, and when I stop at the gas station, white smoke comes out of the hood. Not A LOT of smoke, but enough for me to notice. Now I'm only 3 miles away from the body shop, and I guess my turbo had been running, spooling up all the way, without any oil. I had it towed back to the body shop, and the guy said that there is nothing that they can do about the engine now. So I guess that they are going to take the car to the dealership and see whats wrong, and how it could be fixed. I'm worried as hell that my turbo is fucked up, and I really dont know who to be angry at right now. Is my turbo fucked for good, could it still be run, or should I just sell it or something and get a nice 14B or a new 16G. Before my T-25 was in PERFECT shape, everything running beautifully, what should I do?!??! Suggestions and info from everyone and anyone are welcome...

IF its the shops fault that there was no oil in the motor, they are responsible, but only to replace it with another T25. This would be a good time to upgrade if thats in your plan, but it will confuse matters if the body shop is responsible. Not worth the trouble in my experience, just toss another t25 on for now. If for some bizarre reason you end up fixing the turbo out of your own pocket, then it would make more sense to spend that money on an upgrade.

yea, the insurance and body shop are covering a brand new T-25. After a bit of work and supporting mods, I might just sell the T-25, which would be in very good condition, and buy a new Evo 16G. Either way, a brand new T-25 should be enough for the next few months....anyone with a 14B in awsome condition they wanna sell?...hehe it would change things for the better in any case...

ask them how much the t-25 cost, and ask if you give them the diffrence between the two turbos if they will place the order, turbos from mitsu parts departments are almost a 1000 dollars, if their getting you a new on, maybe they wont mind saving 400 bucks and let you get the one you want!! ask them. they might go for it
