2000 S10 Cigarette Lighter

I keep replacing fuses in the cigarette light. Everytime I replace a fuse and attempt to use the lighter it blows a fuse. Could the lighter itself be bad or another cause.

Re: 2000 S10 Cigarette Lighter

The Lighter plug has probably gone out to lunch and it will need to be replaced or you will blow another fuse and then another etc.

If you have another car you can steal the lighter from, try that and see if it still blows fuses. If it doesn't, then you only need the lighter, usually they just quit. If it blows the fuse, then the first paragraph is your answer.

Good Luck!
