95 Blazer No Power

i just went to start my blazer and there was ZERO power to it. it didn't even click to try to turn over. no lights, no power locks, nothing. i didn't leave the lights or anything, so i'm thinking its not a low/dead battery problem. i checked the connections but everything looks good. this was a new battery 9 months ago. any ideas????? ~emily

Yes, you have a dead battery.

If you exited the vehicle during daylight, possibly, if you have a delay on your interior lights. They stayed on.

oh, ok! thanks for the prompt reply, i'll try jumping it.

well, jumping it didn't work. does anyone have any other ideas as to what the problem might be? i was reading it might an ignition switch problem-- what's that about and how hard is it to remedy?

Have the battery load tested to make sure it will take a charge.

Autozone will do it for you.

it could be an eletrical shortage in the ignition control box
