i do it with a small screwdriver. be warned, fuel will spray, and the clips are annoying to get back in. when i did mine i relieved system pressure like i was supposed to, but was still literally soaked in gasoline by the time the filter was out from under the car. can you say quick shirt change?

Re: Question?

another thing you can do is put a shop vacum in your fuel tank to remove all the gas. This will stop the spraying that the other guy was worrying about, silly n00b.

Re: Question?

or simply run ur car until u run out of gas and as soon as u run out, replace that fuel filter. it might take u a while to start your car again, but that is something your used to by now, being a stang owner.

Re: Question?

starting a car that has run out of fuel is simply simply fill your tank to the rim. then take a common boike pump and seal it into your tank. you might want to use apoxy. Then you will need to pump that mother up until you cant pump it anymore. turn the engine over and hold a butane liger in place of one of the spark plugs. This is very efficent and cheap.
