Racing Harness

Hello guys...

I am getting a set of racing seats and camlock harness thanks to corbeau. I have a 97 civic EX coupe and I need to get a harness bar. I dont want to block the back seats because its my daily driven car and weekend racing car. I wanted to know if the Arospped Lower rear support bar will do fine to secure the harness.

you need an upper support bar to attach the harness to or you will kill yourself in your first crash... if you have a 4dr there are bars available that attach to the stock front seatbelt mounts and are adequate... can't remember who's offhand though.

Lokar makes a Harness bar, I believe Sparco makes one too. You'll either need that; or a Roll cage will work too (a real one, not some cheap APC show one).

You need to have the harnesses mounted at shoulder height on one of these. DO NOT mount the harness to the rear seats bolts, or to the rear seatbelt area. This can kill you in a wreck!!!

You need to mount the harness @ shoulder height, so use a Harness Bar like Lokar makes or have a Roll Cage built.

If you don't mount a harness correctly, like say you mount it to the rear seatbelt area or the seat bolts in back of the seat instead of to a roll cage or harness bar, it can compress your spine and kill you on impact.
