0-80 Video

http://www.btinternet.com/~j.ewing/video/0-85.mpeg

Go here and download the video of my primera 2.0 SRi P11 (130 HP) doing 0-85mph. On a German autobahn of course :-). The official 0-60 time of my car is 9.8, a magazine also tested it at 28 secs to 100 mph. Go look what my car can do.

Cool video. Kinda hard to see with all that bobbing going on. You are so lucky to have an Autobahn.

What drivetrain does your Primera have? it is FWD or AWD? Just curious cause the launch was pretty quick, and i'm not sure if it was just the video or what? I'm guessing just the way the video was cropped, but i'm still curious. Thanks

BTW, now that i have my G-tech back I'll hopefully get a couple 0-60 and 1/4 runs in, and if i can find a camcorder, i'll try and post a few too...

Yeah the way i cropped the video does look a bit dodgy but I just got a good start. I do practise a lot, I usually get from 0-60 in about 8.3 to 8.5. The engine in my Primera is the SR20De which has 130 hp, by the way i was joking about the autobahns im from Scotland. I have been in 2 Primera GT's and neither fealt faster than my car, the official 0-60 of the Primera GT is 8.5 (150 Hp SR20DE). Ill take some pictures of my car and post them here, my car doesnt look as good as a G20 or a GT because its got crappy little bumpers, but im going to sort that out soon. Oh by the way my car is metallic Bronze (orange).

Justin I just looked at the video again and the speedometer flys from 0-30, I think the reason for this could be because I got hardly any wheels spin just a little chirp from the tyres when i was at full throttle. Another reason could be because i used the "granny technique" to launch my car i.e holding the revs at about 3,500 revs and feading the power in lifting off slightly if you feal the tyres spining. If i were to just hold the revs at 6,000 rpm and dump the clutch i would have just burned the tyres out and not moved for about 3-4 seconds!!!! I have Pirelli P6000 on my car and they were fully warmed up so give excellent traction on a dry day.

P.S im about to fit 17" OZ Super T's (either 215/45 or 205/45 tyres) to my car will this help or hinder my 0-60 runs?
