88 rx7?

Hi I have a 1988 rx7 (1/1) and I was wondering if there is a good model of a 88 rx7 or a close year?

Thanks

Then perhaps you're not going to get that one...

Maybe you could find it on Ebay; it's a nice kit w/ engine detail.

The easiest one to find will be the Hasewaga or the Testers issue, I saw one at a show a couple years ago for 5 bucks. so they should'nt be that hard to find

I've seen the Tamiya varient of the FC around a lot but I'm not really a fan of the FC. I see them on Ebay regularly. You shouldn't have to look for long to find one.

Re: 88 rx7?

I only found die cast and the motorized initial d ones. Oh well, I'll just get a fd then. I found a nice tamiya one on ebay that has engine detail.

Re: 88 rx7?

Thanks for the links.

Mine is a turbo model. It needs to be repainted, I'm thinking dark blue.

Re: 88 rx7?

Eric seems to:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~erix7/rx7kits/fuj-fc3s.html#init

Quote:
RX-7 FC3S, Ryousuke Takahashi, 'Initial D' series nr.5 (cat.nr.18325)

released in May 1999

Thanks to its appearance in the popular japanese comic book and TV animation series 'Initial D' at last we got a model of the 2nd gen RX-7 Turbo in its final lightweight shape, also known as the 'Infini IV' model.
The model correctly includes a new front bumper and a new tail light cluster with circular lights. The body itself remains unchanged, although Fujimi removed the scribed sunroof and attempted to change the 'rubbing strips' along the sides of the body, but the result doesn't look quite right.
A new set of wheels and the familiar load of spare parts fills this big box completely. Two sets of decals are included, a large set of generic sponsor stickers and a nice new decal set containing all decals required to depict either the 'Initial D' car or a street 'Infini IV' model. Do note that 'Infini IV' models came factory equipped with 16in. BBS wheels, not the 5-spoke alloys in this kit .
