i have never claimed to know more then i know and just wanted to see how much people here think they know about cars. I recently started to really get into cars and have a desire to learn about them. Getting over the video game phase of my teenage years and ready to learn anything and everything i can about cars.

My problem is i know them, i just dont have very much hands on training. I have a good friend whoms father taught me most of what i know now, for he is a good mech. But he still does make mistakes....But he is a great guy and i know what i know from him.

I would say anyone who puts 10 is full of it. I know a good amount about everything, but I don't know exacts on everything. Then you get into wierd motors like vw's and even worse rotary...

Going by the scale, i'd have to say 10. But, possibly a 15. For my age, i know about cars more then any of my peers. But, my knowledge is simply focused on things I like. For example, my general knowledge is mainly focused on domestic V8 Cars, but i do know a fair share about imports.
Its funny, in my Auto. Mfg. class everyones talking about cars, thinking they are smart, then i start to talk, and make everyone feel stupid.
