Re: LS/Vtec Swap

you usually cant buy an "LSVTEC swap", you have to build it yourself. try www.ebay.com for the parts, or your local import performance shop. www.hmotorsonline.com has a good reputation as an engine distributor, try them.

Re: LS/Vtec Swap

if you dont know what you are doin i suggest not tempting to build one. Its a very precise process and one little mistake could blow your motor. If you are willing to try more power.

Re: LS/Vtec Swap

i'm sure you could just pay a shop to get you all the parts and sell you an "ls vtec swap", but i meant they're usually not readily available from an engine distributor/importer

Re: LS/Vtec Swap

Okay The Shopping List(compleate as i can think of )

B18A1 or b18b1 block-from a 90-01 integra
B16a1 cylidar head from a jdm civic, 99-00si, 94-97DelSol Dohc Vtec
90-91 Teg Distributor.
90-91 Integra Intake manifold Compleate.
90-91 teg axles.
90-91 teg 5spd tranny
Hasport or HCP motor mounts
B-series conversion shift linkage
90-01 teg, 94-97delsol, 99-00 si Header
90-91 teg ecu with vtec activated switch or a jdm pr3 or pwo ecu( i think)

Thats all i can think of cause im tired and bored so n e one is welcome to chime in at anytime.

Personally since you really arent sure on parts, good deals or stuff just get a 90-91JDM SiR B16 Engine compleate. They run about 1000-1200 plus shipping for everything that you will need.

Re: LS/Vtec Swap

you need the b16a distributor, intake manifold, head gasket, transmission, etc. etc.

basically all you need is the b18a/b block and everything else you use from the b16a

Yes. You could also use the 90-91 teg distributor. You just gotta cut off the third leg.

Re: LS/Vtec Swap

i would use

gsr distributor, water pump(ls wont work at high rpms) and itr oil pump

b16 head and new cam gears

b18 block

p72 computer (Gsr computer) OBD-II

you might need a OBD-I to OBD-II converter if your car is OBD-I

you can get a vtec conversion kit on ebay that comes with the new oil sandwich and dowel pins and head gasket

arp head and rod bolts

if your head doesnt come with it your gonna need vtec solenoid, oil pressure switch and knock senor W/ wire harnesses because who ever does it is gonna have to add wire to ur computer and if u run it straight its is gonna be really hard for anyone to work on ur car in the future
