Unhappy Idle problem pleas help

Hi,
When I start my car it idles @ about 1000, then after I drive around for a while and stop, it goes up and down from about 1600 to 1000. I dont know why. I changed the TPS and the IAC. Someone told me that the cats could be clogged I they wher not so sure. Can someone give me any advice.

Check your tps for the propper voltage around .94 - .97 of a volt. also your throttle may need to be cleaned.

I had a buddy of mine check the tps he said its good. I am trying to take the throttle body off now but it seems to be stuck or something hopefully I will get it off by the end of the day. Another thing I wanted to ask is, where should it normally Idle?

Ok I got the throttle body off, and from the looks of it you are probably right. how does the stuff build up in ther like that? Is there any way to prevent this?
