What an awesome car, took me forever to find the AMG site that showed the S65. It is like they are trying to keep it secret. Oh well, I want anything that has a bi-turbo V12.

Its got a little more than 543bhp. More like 575. I have just put a deposit down on the new S69 AMG as my S55 is ready for replacement. I have a new SL65, and was soo astonished by it, that I wanted an S65, but then I heard about the 675bhp S69, and decided that I had to have it. Theres rather a lenthy wait on it though, so will have to restrain myself for the time being.

I drive the autobahn about 4 times a month, and my S 55 could take most things, you would get the odd prick in an M5, with his shades on that would go tanking past, but the 55 would eat an M5 for afternoon tea, as I have done once before. The odd 911 Turbo DB7 and Diablo may gun me.
So i suppose, when I get it, I'll just have to gun them... In my limo!

I don't think that MB have released the figures for the 69 yet, but the 65's figures will be published my merc themselfs within a couple of weeks.
I have two 600's at the moment, an S and an SL, but I am replacing the SL with a new 65 in 9 weeks time. I may pass the 69, I think that the 65 will be more than enough power for me.

Has Mercedes even given a press-release for the 65 in the states? On the german AMG website you can find the S65, but no other mercedes sites. And are the CL, SL, and S 65's out in the states yet? I mean, they just came out, and the 69 versions are already getting ready? Those 69's will be so insane, just seeing one would make me cry.

Saw a Carrera GT today, that broguht tears almost, but an S69 amg would make me crazy.

From what I've seen, Mercedes are distancing the 65's from the other Mercs to retain exclusivity. I know that they have started delivering CL65's over there, but no S or SL. We've got the CL and the SL, but no S class yet. The 69 is a while off yet... the reason i'm not upgrading from an S600 to an S65, is that I want to keep my SL as something special, but after a couple of weeks with this 65, I'm giving serious consideration to ordering an SL69 AMG, and then changing the S600 to a 65. I've never been this bowled over by a car.

Jesus, where do you get the money to consider a 65 and a 69? That's more than 400g's right there alone, wow. I'll take your s600 if you don't want it, lol.
