74 in a 35 - Ohio

Well, happened to me last night. No shoes on, no shirt on, had to scramble to get it all on. Down a desolate road, in the middle of the country.

I'm 17, in a red 1998 ford escort.....ok dont laugh

It was a 74 in a 35, he got me by radar/laser, i was the only car around, so there's no fighting it really.

He told me the only thing stopping him from towing my car and taking me to the station was my girlfriend crying her eyes out in the passenger seat.

All i want to know is what the hell is gonna happen....
I'd assume my license will be suspended, 1 month, 3 months, till im 18 in June?

And anyone know an approximate price for the ticket?

I'm so pissed right now.....grrr

I told him i was late for getting my girlfriend home, so.... yeah.... any suggestions?

the one thing I've noticed about Ohio is that thier fines are pretty fair, I bet it'll only be around $400-$500 (It could easily be $800 in some states).

No clue about the suspension, don't know any people under 18 there.

Get a lawyer or one of those traffic ticket fixers. Chances are they may be able to swing a deal, or at least provide you with some advice.
Plead not guilty and get some kind of defence going and swing a deal.

The first thing you need to do is to tell your parents. They will find out anyway when their insurance goes through the roof or is cancelled. You have a mandatory court appearance and one of them or an attorney will have to go with you.

If they do not have an attorney then they may want to consider

Pre-Paid Legal

If your family had been a member then they would defend you at no charge. They will still take the case at a reduced rate. You can join online and talk to an attorney right away.

wreckless driving...don't count on keeping your lisence for at least a year or until you're 18...whichever comes first.

and the lawyer idea is a good one too...wreckless is a pretty big deal
