Veep Debates...

w00t! good one so far!

By the way, Dick, the "Kerry's a flip-flopper" back-up plan is getting tiring, get to the subject...

...still watching, be back later...

Re: Veep Debates...

I'm waiting for the fight to break out.

Its getting old listen to the Kerry Edwards BS.

What about Edwards not going to his senate meetings? What about when Cheney said "as the head of the senate that the first time he saw Edwards was at the debate?

"The question was about jobs, right?"

The difference so far is this: Edwards might have a few Halliburton facts to throw-back to Dick, but Dick's major tactic is blindingly clear: smear.

Like him or not, Edwards is the only one that's addressing the issues of the questions head-on, with answers that answer the question.

Oh, what about the fact that as Defense Secretary, Dick Cheney worked to get rid of the defense-systems that he is riling Sen. Kerry for voting against, when as a Sen., you vote for/against whatever pork-fat that the bill also carries, while as Defense Secretary, you are concerned with the weapons itself.

What about the fact that whatever their opinion of the "vote against body-armor" deal, that they sent troops in anyways "unprotected"?

I only caught about 15 minutes... I actually decided to change the channel right after Cheney respectfully thanked Edwards for recognizing the loving relationship between him, his wife, and his daughter. I suppose I just wanted to leave the debate with both parties at peace with each other. I'm just getting so tired of the constantly increasing cycle of bickering, slandering, bitching, and media-sensationalizing that seems to plague the political arena. It's like this whole damn election (and politics in general) is just one big friggin' reality TV show, organized, sanitized, and neatly packaged for the consumption of the drama-fiending masses. It's almost like some sort of surreal soap-opera. What sort of scandal will tomorrow bring? Tune in and find out!

Re: Veep Debates...

Cheney may have performed badly, but he still comes across smarter than Bush

Re: Veep Debates...

It looked like a goofey kid going against a seasoned vetran. Edwards really should stick to speaking alone and not debating.
But I guess in "Merica" anyone has the freedom to act like a goof if they feel like it.

Re: Veep Debates...

I thought it was too close to call. I just have a hard time taking Edwards seriously. Maybe it's the whole lawyer thing or maybe it's because he reminds me of those people who try way too hard to be liked. You know those people who always put on that fake smile and act like they are happy to see you even when they aren't.

It looked to me as a draw. Both streatched the facts and twisted the numbers to augment whatever points they were trying to make. Anyone who believes that either side had a clear cut victory was predisposed as to who they believed and not who presented their case better.
