rear caliper

I am changing the rear disc pads on my daughters 95 Accord EX. On every car I've owned all I had to do after removing the calipers from the bracket was to squeeze them with a C clamp, replace the new pads an I'm off. This one won't squeeze in.

Re: rear caliper

Maybe it is in as far as it will go. Rear brakes don't wear like the front ones, the wear is considerably less. See if the pads will go over the rotor.

Re: rear caliper

Turn it like a screw, do not squeeze!

Re: rear caliper

ProMan, you are right on. You turn the caliper piston, not squeeze it on the rear discs.
