Re: i need help!

Sounds like detonation. Could destroy your motor if not addressed. For starters, go get a good tune up set. Autolite plugs, good wires (MSD recommended by me) and a cap/rotor. Gap the plugs at .054, set the timing at 12 w/89 octane fuel, and change the fuel filter while you're at it. Could save you from buying an engine...

Well theres no way any of us can help you w/ your first problem, because tracing noises over the internet is impossible, sorry. Your second problem is somewhat normal. I know of a lot of cars that do that, that otherwise run fine. You may have a starter solenoid starting to go, however. I would have have someone take a look at it.

if it sounds like its not catching the first time and the seckond time it will it sound to me like there is a dead spot on you fly wheel, and i have a question the computer should retard the timing when it senses detination right, isnt that what knock sensors are for?
