Dead, Reset, or Broke?
whatthehell happened to the interior / audio / security forum? I leave for a while and come back, and everythings gone to crap around here!
... yeah, anyway. Random question: anyone ever had any luck on fishing new speaker wires to their door panels? i dislike the idea of using the 24 gauge junk that is OEM, but i have no idea if it's practical to run new wire without it looking fugly.

yeah it kind of sucks that its all gone... anyways, I bet you could run the new wire through, you could probably just cut the OEM wiring and tie your wiring to it and then pull it through, just an idea though, never tired it. Good luck

yeah I ran 16 gauge to my doors for my quarts, I just drilled two holes one in the door and one in the car, slightly above the factory grommets. then I put my own grommets in these and ran my wires through the holes, and covered it with loom. looks like there are two wire bundles going through my door now, but not too ugly, plus its a hard place to see.
fishing it through the factory bundle wouldn't work on my car because its already too tight.

yeah dude you can rerun the wires drilling new holes or if you really have ocd like i do you can rip out all the old wires and rerun the new ones but unless your competing or you have speakers with really high RMS you really don't need to the stock wiring wil work fine and save you a headach
