Clay

I bought a box with Meguiar's Quick Detailer and a bar of clay. The clay is too dirty to use now, and all the auto parts shops don't sell the clay individually. Does anyone know where I can buy just the clay to use on my car?

Have you tried scraping off the dirty layer? You might still be able to use it.

I know Mothers makes a pretty good clay bar as well, but it comes in a set that cost 15 bucks total. Dunno if you wanna spend that much though...

yeah, the clay I was using is dirty all the way through. I don't really want a kit because I already have 2 bottles of Quick Detailer, and I only need a new bar of clay.

I've never seen the clay on it's own.

I would just buy a new kit. I just cut the bar into 3 pieces in case I drop it.

Takes wax and all those little tiny bumps on the paint off!!
Kind of like a deep cleaner I guess you could say.

It removes all of the contaminants from the surface of your paint and makes it extremely smooth if u do it right. I used the Mother's Clay Bar kit a few weeks ago on my car followed by a waxing with Mother's Carnauba Wax and my paint felt like it just came from the factory. It was very smooth and shiny. I would definitely recommend everyone who loves their car to do this about every 3-6 months, and especially before summer when u're gonna be pimpin your car around town :smoka:
