1992 Rodeo NO FUEL *Confused*
We just got a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo 6cyl, 3.1...we knew it was not running when we agreed to get it, but thought we would work on it. The previous owners had the timing chain replaced, drove it home where it sat for a while, then would not start again. Timing was checked...appears to be in time. Checked the fuel pump...was not kicking on...so we though hey, there is our problem. We got access to the fuel pump, getting ready to order one to replace it, hot wired it directly to battery, and it worked...pumped fuel straight up to the throttle body and out return line. We tried starting it...would not start...dumped a little fuel into throttle body...tried real hard to start but still wouldn't.
Checked the injectors, there is no fuel coming from the injectors. Seems to us that it is something electrical...stoping the fuel pump and injectors. Read something about a PROM in the 3.1's only in the computer. Don't know if this has anything to do with it...or if it is the whole computer... PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!! UP TO ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS!!! |
