defrost and A/C coupled ?
When I select the blower defrost mode (air blowing at the windshield), the A/C is automatically turned on. I find that very annoying, even though I understand that this helps remove condensation off the glass.
Is it supposed to be this way? Is there anything I can do to prevent the car (1997 Dodge Neon Highline) from doing that? Thanks.

It is supposed to be that way. It is anoying, I agree, but I would leave it. It works much better with it. Seeing is a good thing.
