Question Aftermarket headunit inst. in a bose stereo

I have a 98 Max SE & it came with a Bose stereo, I have a double din Pioneer head unit from my previous car & I'm going to wire an amp for my subs, So I went to Best Buy to purchase a wiring harness & I was told i had to buy a antenna wire & some sort of box that wired to the bose speakers so they would not blow the factory amp. is this true ? I was planning on doing it myself but now that the guy told me this im thinking twice about doing the installation myself. has any 1 done this themselves ?? can some 1 help me out. ThanX.

Yes that is correct. You will need two harnesses, one for the unit and one for the antenna; and one signal convertor. Installation is a breeze. The harnesses just plug and play. The signal converter requires some splicing but is color coded. I bought all mine at Circuit City.
