I found this while searching for a cheaper alternative to the vacuum actuator - I own a repair facility and do a lot of business with a local used truck dealer. We are currently working on -- you guessed it -- a 1998 blazer that will not engage 4 hi or low. While I cannot personally use it this seems like a reasonable alternative to the vacuum system for private owners. I sincerely hope this helps some of you to correct the problem and relieve your stress. I personally own a 96 (2WD) blazer but I understand. I had the cooling system and DexCool issue with mine.
Any way, Good Luck to all!!!! CamaroLover ![]() http://www.eastcoastoffroad.com/posi/#sseries |
