This has been up for over a thousands times, I know, but my questions are a little different. I'm busy putting an R32 engine into a R33 400R. Pretty much like NISMO400R did. I'm having some problems connecting the intercooler to the turbo's. I understand how to connect a intercooler to a single turbo, but I don't get the way a twin turbo is connected. Is the pipe from the intercooler just split up or something?
Next to that question I would like to know how I can make hoses for connecting the air intake to the turbo. Like on this pic: http://www.pow-r.co.uk/tokyo99/rb26.htm I hope you guys can help. I've searched for about 2 hours now, and just couldn't find anything usefull. Thanks in advance

Re: Turbo question
The intercoolers on twins usually have dual inlets, unless two separate intercoolers are used. The core is split so that the inlet has two separate tanks and the outlet has one tank.

Re: Turbo question
Alright I see. Thanks for that. Just like I thought. So how about the hoses? Any suggestions?

Re: Turbo question
Styrene rod/pipe works nicely if you dont bend it more than a few degrees. Get some tube/rod the same size as the turbo inlet and route/bend how you need and then paint and glue the filters on the ends.

Re: Turbo question
The pipes for transport and stuff are clear to me. This is what I'm talking about.
![]() I've seen some people making these things for their models. I want that too

Re: Turbo question
Couplers is what he's talking about. Some people use heat-shrink tubing or something similar. I usually paint mine on and use BMF as the straps.

Re: Turbo question
I take a length of Scotch tape (cellophane tape, not masking tape) and cut it to the right width and about 3/4 of an inch long, then I wrap it around the "joint" and paint it, and use BMF for the clamps and a piece of straight pin of the screw used to tighten them. I stole the technique from FOTW, in his intercooler how-to.
