1993 Century Power Windows... overheated breaker?
My car's 4 windows seem to work fine until they are "over-used" (a simple down/up will cause this), which could be in any position (top, bottom, middle) and refuse to budge more than a millimeter at a time until properly cooled (a rest of a few minutes). Each window freezes up independent of the others (one may be stuck while the others still operate), but they all started doing this at the same time so I'm guessing it's in a central location not specific to each window's motor.
I could use an educated guess other than my own before diving into unfamiliar territory. Thx. |

Re: 1993 Century Power Windows... overheated breaker?
I would suspect bad window motors. When the motors get old and wek they take more current to move the windows this will open the circuit breaker inside the motor and cause your problems. Only thing I would try first is lubing the window tracks with somethingalong the lines of WD-40 and see what happens.
