installing a cd deck in a 98 Jimmy

hey, ive got a 98 4Dr Jimmy SLS
Ive also got a Kenwood KDC-419 CD Deck.
Ive got the wiring harness...but i need to know how to remove the factory radio.

u might need a puller... i know on explorers that there are "buttons" that need to be depressed in order to pull the stock deck out. this requires a special tool.

if you go to best buy or ur local car audio installers they would prob'ly let you borrow it for a few minutes. if not they would be able to tell u where to acquire such a tool or another way to pull the deck.

Walmart has a universal removal kit for 12 bucks. Might wanna check there. Also, check out crutchfield.com -- they may sell it.

I would appreciate some info on how to remove the radio. I'm trying to troubleshoot my rear speakers (not working) and install an FM CD changer while I'm at it.
