Red face Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

Ok... this was just ... I don't want to say Pathetic...

Ok, it was.

I left work in a cranky/pissy mood. Ya know, after sitting in traffic for 3 hours with the sun in your eyes and having to drive 108 miles to work, and 108 miles home. You're kinda not in the mood for people and their randomness. At least I wasn't today.

So of course I had to drive the 7 miles home with the Blitz set to 14psi. Not that needed the car to be ready to boost for 14psi, I just wanted it to. One of those "reflect my moods" sorta things.

Anywho, half way home I'm cruising along in 4th gear at about 45mph. And I come along this Firebird with stock Dual exhaust. Hmmm, V8? Look at the taillights. Nope.. no honey-combs over the taillights. Ahh it's a V6 with the optional 'performance' exhaust. Which is good for a rated 5hp.

As I'm cruising next to the Firebird, I notice the two guys looking over and I hear the sound of a mighty V6 being gunned repeatedly. Then them laughing. And strangely enough I heard the guy say the word "Ricer" to his buddy. And them laughing.

Must of been my exhaust, kinda drones abit. Unless you get on it. Sounds like a WRC Rally car.

You ever just snap? That little part of your brain that just goes... *KCHH!!* And you just go bonkers?

Yeah, the light ahead went red. So I was stuck next to the guys at the light. And they were still laughing... snickering... leering... and worst of all. Revving.

Light goes green, I take off normally. They start to take off with all the V6 might they have. Which sounded horrible I might add.

I shift to 2nd gear normally, and floor it. Boost comes quick and induce a rolling burnout past them with the exhaust roaring. Let off at 60mph. Drive normal.

Guys stayed back... they ended up next to me again at another light. Not a single peep. But of course I was looking right at them.

You're still a ricer.

Anyhow, how far ahead were you at 60?

Hmmm... Maybe 3-4 bus lengths?

I honestly think he straight let off the gas once I went past him.

I know I would of if a car did a rolling burn out past me.

I feel your pain, man. LOL, rolling burnout past them, thats just too much...if a car PASSED me while slightly sideways, I think i would back off too.

How can people call a 240Z a "ricer" though? Most people that buy those cars either buy them to cruise (stock exhaust) or for a purpose (swapped and modded). Honestly I have yet to see a modded 240Z that isn't fast, probly because teens on a budget don't buy them.

Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

lol ya because if it was the 200 hp 225 tq 3.8, then its pretty stupid of him to talk shit about the Firebird's engine because if it had a turbo like him at the same psi, Firebird would smoke the shit out of him.
