Question Manual seats/ No adjustment???

Just bought my new-to-me, 2001 used Xterra 4x4.
My salesman is no longer @ the dealership and service is not easy to get thru to.
The manual seats will NOT adjust (maybe an inch at most)/
Not bad if you're over 5'9", but I'm 5'3" and almost need to sit on the Houston phone book. Is there something that I've missed by looking?
Not sure what I'm looking for. The adjustment knobs move, but there is no play with the seats moving on the tracks (bars).thanks.

You have change trapped in the track on the inside. It has happened to me once or twice. Remove the driver's seat by removing the four bolts holding it to the floor. Lay it on the side with the seat belt latch up. Remove the bolt holding the seat belt latch on. Work the change out with a long thin screw driver. Put seat back together. It will work fine until you go waterskiing, wakeboaring canoeing, kayaking, etc, stop at the store on the way there, put change in your bathing suit pocket and then hop back in the truck again forgetting about the change.

Re: Manual seats/ No adjustment???

Nope, I water-ski everyday from April-October and I am bound and determined to find a road that runs along a river, lake so I can ski BEHIND the Xterra!!
