I have a set of Hooker Competition Plus Headers for a Big Block, for a 70 Chevelle. I also have the complete 2-1/2" exhaust system, with "H" pipe and Grand National Turbo Mufflers, that was barely used.
They fit my 4 speed car perfectly and there are no dings or dents in them. I paid $275 for the headers, $175 to have them coated and $275 to have the rest of the exhaust system made for the Chevelle. They did a really crummy job of coating the headers, and it came off right away. The headers are in good condition. There is surface rust on them from sitting in my unheated shed. I only had them on my Chevelle for one year. The car sat in my garage for one winter, before it was heated and the headers got some surface rust on them. The surface rust comes off very easily and it won't take much to get them like new. They were never driven in winter, or anything....... These are the big headers Hooker part #2217 HKR http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...html#Chevrolet They are 2" x 35" long primaries....... Here is the link to Jegs for the Headers that I have http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...er+Competition I bought the headers about 10 years ago and that is why I only paid $275 for them....But, they are $399 now.... $225 for the Headers, Mufflers and Exhaust system......I am in Troy, Mi...
