I have a 1998 Olds 88 with automatic trunk release from the dash, or remote keyless entry. It only works about 5% of the time, when I took it to my mechanic, it just happened to work. When it doesn't work, and I try it, I can hear a click noise come from the glove box.

Isn't there a trunk release lock/over-rided in the glovebox ?

Re: Auto Trunk Release
Go the trunk and hit your remote if you hear any noise at the trunk then its most likely the trunk release motor ,replace it.
PS make sure the trunk is not binding from an accident ect. |
