|
87 CRX HF won't idle
I've got an 87 CRX HF that will run fine with your foot on the gas. Carburetor is newly rebuilt, flange at base of carb is new, new fuel filters, new plugs, valves adjusted, fresh gas. Car will run fine if gas is poured directly into carb. Could the screen in the tank be clogged? This is the only thing I have not checked. I am at a dead end!

sounds like your not gettin an efficent amount of fuel to the carb. is the gas pump the orig? the pump my be starting on its way out an not workin properly.

aye try an check the fuel pump or take the fuel line off the carb and turn the key on and see if gas come out the line..

well all of us here should have the basics of car knowledge but when you say carb most of us here dont have any carbs on are car its either DPFI or MPFI with the exeption of a few of our EURO friends. But its not a 4th gen car.

electronic injection of carb doesnt matter - just check the pump like i said if its not working properly you know if you do what civicboy an i said -if it shoots out then you good on the pump - then you may have a v line problem....
