Sunroof problems
All right. Total and complete wierdness. Sunroof won't close all the way anymore. It gets to about... 3 inches from closed and then backs off. It's just like it got caught on something and backs up, saftey feature, I suppose. It used to get to that point and back off every now and then, but now it won't close at all.
I checked the tracks to see if anything was blockin it, but no dice.  Fortunately I live in Southern California, where it rains all of two times a year, but I'd still like to get it to close, for security's sake. Anybody else have problems similar to this? (I have a 95 GS btw)

I had the same problem on my 96 GST. All i did to correct the problem was remove the sunroof glass (just a few screws on each side) and then blow the track out with compressed air. If you dont have an air compressor you can use the compressed air in a can stuff. Then I lubed it all up good and it worked perfectly after that. Hope it works for you

ok, i did have this problem and it was a stripped gear in the motor ,had to replace it all

i've had this problem and what was happening was it was sticking on the slides so i just lubed up the slides with some graphite and it's as good as new.

My sunroof sticks too. Except now that it opens, it just doesn't close. At all. So I closed it manually and left it that way
 .Seems like I should probably try and fix the problem at some point though....

Mine had similar problems too, but then I found that my sunroof sliding cover was off its tracks and was getting stuck right before the sunroof would close. So I reseat the sliding cover, and now its all good.
