My 89 240sx

Ive been lurking around this forum for over a year now and thought I'd share my ride with everyone here.

Ive had this 240 for over 2 years now and had been saving money ever since I first got it.

Only mods Ive done so far is the RB25DET swap, Tein Flex Coils, ApexI N1 cat back exhaust, S13 Gauge cluster, clear corner lights (thanks to sentra XE), red out tail lights and sleepy eye mod.

All I can say is thanks for the very informative forum you guys have here.

Now onto one question of what I should do next?
Rims/brake upgrade? or Turbo Upgrade?

Re: My 89 240sx

After the motor swap, I was this close to doing the S15 conversion, then I thought it over, I could never give up my sleepy eyes.

i think i've seen front ends somewhat similar to yours.. with the sleepy eyes.. it definitely looks cool..
1) i'd like to know how to do that (do you just cut out part of the lifting rod - or whatever you wanna call it - or is there a kit to buy)
2) do some sleepy eye front ends have different headlights or do people use the same shit? (buy whole new headlight assembly or use stock light and aim it higher)

ps nice ride

nice ride man. how hard was wiring for the RB?
I think you should go with the brake/rim upgrade cause you get stopping power and cool looks. you can already probably go pretty darn fast with the RB25 anywayz...

another question. what year is your 240? oh, and that sleepy eye mod is y

*edit* never mind, I see that it's an 89, the same year as mine
cept mine doesn't run

Nice.... it's a total sleeper! Very classy! I love RB25's in S13's! Keep up the good work! Keep it stock/sleeper looking!

very Nice~ rb25... good taste there. i'd say get rotors, brake pads, and change the brake fluid. with an engine like that... your gonna need the braking power. hehe.

Re: My 89 240sx

to do the sleepy eye look all you have to do is disconnect your headlight motors and manually crank the headlights up or down....i do it every day it takes about 1 minute (if that) to adjust both headlights. Well because at night my blinkers shined more light than the sleepies so i tend to raise them back up at night. Its very easy and very ghetto lol....i forget who makes the device that allows you too control it from the cockpit but its hella wiring and like 100 bux so i do it manually....but yea very nice ride, i have to agree on the brake/rim upgrade for stopping power, looks, and well if you get wider rims traction also. And is it me or does it look like your car sits lower on the passenger side...i was looking at the head on pic it just seemed a lil slanted to me.....not like it matters or anything.....just noticed

Thats too much work for me, I just made a toggle switch that can control the sleepy eyes inside the car. Costed me about 2 dollars from radio shack. Yeah it does look slanted. Hmm i better take a closer look.

the company that makes the headlight control is from Pivot. The kit is about 100 bucks.

i'm gonna do my best to have a makeshift kit... i'd rather put that $100 into something that gives me a little more power instead of looks.. i'm sure its not hard to find a small motor that you can turn on and off from inside the car..
