squires universal turbo kit

I was throwing around the idea of getting a turbo kit for my car. The problem is there isnt one made. I came acroos a company called Squire Turbos. They make a universal turbo kit that mount under your car. Has nayone heard anything or tried on of this things.. Any advise or thought on this matter would be great. check it out www.squireturbos.com

Re: squires universal turbo kit

they'll never be as good as a turbo kit up by the engine. having the turbos and everything at the tail end means boost losses, increased lag, worries about corrosion and water in the turbos etc..

they work, but they don't work as well as a "proper" turbo kit.

Re: squires universal turbo kit

Not to mention, theres no such thing as a universal turbo kit. About the best they could do is supply you with the essentials and some piping and let you take care of the fabrication which most people dont have the tools to do anyways (i.e. welder).

They have some but you have to do some custom stuff. Ajust it yourself.

Re: squires universal turbo kit

dont waste your time with it. The compressor output lines will be long enough you will have aweful throttle response. It you want to go turbo spend the cash and get a manifold made.

What kind of car do you have?
