dvd entertainment video noise

hi,

i own a 2001 honda odyssey van which i recently added an aftermarket dvd entertainment system (Bravo brand). after installation and with the engine off, the video looks great. however, once i start the engine, the video horizontal lines twitches and moves just enough for me to notice. would anybody know how i can fix this. i must first tell you that i tried to connect my power line (yellow) directly to the battery and provided the system with a solid ground. any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Re: dvd entertainment video noise

shouldn't u try to connect the power to the console's harness,or prabably splice it if not enough. direct to the battery power may have voltage fluctuation, since battery is charged by alternater(voltage always fluctuates) when engine starts. i think somewhere between the battery to car's electronic there is a voltage regulator in between the two....

this not a definite solution...just think this might be the logical explaination, since i took ciruit analysis awhile ago.

Re: dvd entertainment video noise

both those answers are right, id run the dvd to a switched 12v inside the car, even if you have to add the switch yourself, and run the power lines on a different side than the rca lines. also check that the ground is a solid unpainted section of car.
