1996 K1500 Squeaking Noise

I have a 1996 K1500 Ext. Cab SB that makes a squeaking/clunk when I come to a complete stop. After coming to a complete stop, the truck will jerk a little bit and make a noise. I have replaced the rear shoes, hardware, drums, and the backing plate on the pass side. The axle bearings and seals are also new. I have had the truck for over a year and the noise has not gotten any better or worse. The aluminum driveshaft was replaced with a new steel one and the u-joints were also replaced. I have also replaced the shocks and upgraded the exhaust to a flowmaster cat back dual setup. Nothing appears to be rubbing under the truck. I have also replaced the round teflon pads between the leaf springs. Please Help! Thanks

I had the same thing on mine (same truck as you) . I got pissed off and floored it odd enough it stopped. I had replaced my shocks three times thinking it was in them and there was a clunk in them but right at the bottom of the shock. But I was reading some threads they were saying grease the inside of the driveshaft I guess that will stop the clunk.

I removed the drive shaft and greased the inside and outside of the yoke and re-installed it. I backed out of the driveway and it was amazing-No Clunk! Took it for a test drive with plenty of hard stops and not one of them ended with a squeak.
