First shot at a CF hood

Did a few tuts and figured I't try it on a pic of my own car.. Probrably the worst choice as the pic is totally washed out in bright areas.. (my digicam stinks with to bright and to darks shots)
Just wordering what you think... And yes its a bad lasso job but just playing.
Questions are:
Does this look somewhat realistic? Can people using crts see the lines ok? (I have a 19" lcd at 1280x1024 and see them fine)
Guess I'll play around more but just wondering if its was off and any suggestions would be good..

Whoops, guess I missed that part of your post mang, sorry.

I like your pattern, but it doesn't seem quite right. I think the weave is too tight, or the pattern too small, but Im not sure.

the pattern is different but good...
it would look much better.. if u made the layer just a little transparent.. so some green shone through...
or just add a little blue to the carbon fiber..
it might give it a nice kick
