Jeep 4.0 Engine Swap?

I have an 89 jeep cherokee 4.0 l v6 in my driveway...its undrivable because the transfer case is cracked. Would it be possible to swap my 94 2.2 l v4 engine with the 4.0 engine? if so what would i need to do? would i need to swap the trans too? i want to do this cause the 2.2 l engine sucks; the 4.0 has a lot more power.

bigger motor u might need to do something with the inner fenter wells, motor mouts, not sure about the tranny but u might wanna put the jeep tranny in, but then u would have to get another back axle cuz the cavi is front wheel drive. So it sounds like a lot of work, but if u have the things and time go for it. Just put some pics on here to see the final install.

Not even close to being worth it.

although anything can be done if you want it bad enough, the logistics behind this swap make it way more costly than it could ever be worth.
