Best B-series cheap mod

A complete pulley set.
My friend just got them installed on his gs-r and saw 6whp at 8,000rpms, and 13whp down at 3,000rpm

Great mod for daily driving, nice amount of power gained down low.

ask him again or maybe you got the kind of pulleys wrong because aem doesnt make a crank pulley

they dont make a crank pulley because the stock pulley has a harmonic dampener on it so it absorbs the vibration, but aftermarket underdrive pulley just have the pulley and no harmonic dampener so theres alot of vibration which can and has led to oil pump failure and bearing failure.

if you have a underdrive crank pulley i would get rid of it and go back to stock

Re: Best B-series cheap mod

i agree, unless the new one has the balancer lose it quick. also if he has a sound system in his car, underdrive pulleys are terrible for it.
