2000 BMW 323I transmission
I have a 2000 BMW 323i with 60K on it. My tiptronic Transmission was shifting funny and jumping gears. Dealer diagnosed it and wanted 4000$ to put a new tranny in. I have been searching for a used tranny and looks like they are very rare (my 323i's manufacture date is 05/2000). Anybody have any experience with these? Any good transmission rebuilders at reasonable prices? Iam in southwest michigan. Thanks.. Merry christmas.

Re: 2000 BMW 323I transmission
Merry Christmas!
i find it very odd that the tranny went out after only 60k miles.

My tranny went out at 51k. Lost reverse. I had the same problem trying to find a replacement. Every other model was available everywhere, but the 323i always said "call for availability". Found one in Texas. Ordered it, put it in, and it was bad also, even though it was dyno-tested. This one didn't have drive. Ended up having to make one tranny out of two.
