Unhappy i have a ?

ok, here's my deal, my car is idleing reallly low, it idles below like 600 rpm's, and sometimes when i'm going slightly up hill, at a slow speed like in my garage, the car shuts off, it's an auto tranny by the way, whats up with my car?
