90' Civic: Wipers, windows and wiper fluid motor went dead HELP!!!

The wipers of my 90' Civic LX were frozen to the windshield when I tried to use them. I heard a faint popping sound under my hood and immidiatly after my wipers, power windows and windshield motor failed to respond. If there are any suggestions please send them my way.

not a stupid question at all. that's exactly wut happened.

when u hit the wipers and they r frozen to the windshield, the motor doesn't turn which causes a short and the amperage sky's. that blows the fuse. the wipers, and washer spray motors work off the same power supply circuit, and quite possibly (and apparently) so do the power windows.

edit: the popping u heard wasn't under the hood, but under u'r dash in the junction (fuse) box. u blew u'r fuse.

Thank you for your valuable insight. I had checked the fuses in the kick panel on the driver's side and the ones near the battery and air filter.(and should have mentioned so.) And I was unaware of a junction box located in the dash.

double check the fuses. you have three in the wipers and washers circuit alone. there is a seperate fuse for the power windows circuit in the dash fuse box. the two circuits share two fuses in the main fuse box (no, 31 and 32). double check those two, i'm willing to bet it's one of them. they are supposed to pop before anything else happens. if u r 100% that the fuses in the circuit are all good; then check the power feed wire to the main fuse box, the wire between the two fuses in the main fuse box, the power from the main fuse box to the ignition switch, the power wire from the iginition switch to the dash fuse box. make sure they all have continuity and they are all part of the same circuit. could have fried one, but that's not likely since it's a protected circuit.

some manufactures call it a junction box, others call it fuse box, still others call it a convience center. i'll stick with fuse box in this case since that's what honda calls it.
