SURGEON GENERAL: Drifting is hard on your RC's health

Just got in from drifting and busted a rear control arm. My road is smooth for drifting, I was sliding quite nicely at a fast rate and something caught. Im thinking it might be time for some new PVC, my rear "tires" are thin as paper and covering about 3/4 the wheel.

Fixed it. Now I need more PVC. One of the rings is split in half width wise.

Got some ABS...work well, takes getting used to. Entirely different from PVC.

PVC is better IMHO. With ABS you go to fast and turn more than 10degree you spin...its very tricky to do.

Is there a difference between powersliding and drifting or are they the same thing?

Re: SURGEON GENERAL: Drifting is hard on your RC's health

when you powerslide an rc, it'll only go about a foot, maybe less or a little more, drifting you can get up to 15 feet or more sometimes.

i know what you mean its hard on cars, i broke a rim in half from a crack in my drivway, i cried too :'(

I slide any where from 10-35 feet. Depends on speed, and entry angle.

The other day (I wish I had my cam), I was drifting down a street, downhill. I was probably going about 20mph. Then boom, I hit a tiny lip and the car goes flying in the air tumbling...and back onto the wheels, and kept going.

Re: SURGEON GENERAL: Drifting is hard on your RC's health

When its wet, I drift about 45-55feet. I have driven my truck through puddles and stuff with no problem. With my car Im usually going fast enough that the down force and vacuum (Bernoulli's principle) that the moisture doesnt touch anything.

1 feet = 0.3048 meter
1 meter = 3.2808399 feet
Feet are imperial measurements. (Old type.)
Meters are metric measurements. (New type.)
