a/c problem plus rt headlight problem
On a 81 280zx when running the a/c no air is coming out of the dash vents but the blower is loud and running. Behind the radio I can feel air being directed to the floor. Vacuum lines appear intact but the heater control valve has been bypassed. Anyone know how to correct the problem. Lastly the right headlight is dim. Have checked all the wires and fuses and all looks good but can't correct the problem. I believe it to be a ground problem but don't know how to correct it. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks, C.W.

81 280zx a/c problems
Ok I fixed the headlight problem. It was a fuse that wasn't making good contact. Now I really really need help with the a/c. I installed a new vacuum operated heat control valve and in the process moved some of the vacuum lines. I have no way of knowing what vacuum line connects to what. The Hanes Manuel doen't show the connections. Could somebody e-mail me a picture. You will first have to remove the lower dash cover, the one with the courtesy light in it, on the right side. As you look up into the dash you will see the lines and the "heater cock" - the vacuum controled unit that allows hot water to enter the heater core. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, C.W.

Ok so now I fixed the a/c problem. I went to a salvage yard and took apart the dash of a car with automatic temp control and studied all the lines. As I recently purchased this car and reinstalled the "water cock" there were many lines that had been disconnected. Now everything works great and it is on to fix the power antenna. Thanks to all that thought of responding. C.W.
