Exclamation transmission problem

my 95 s-10 blazer is very sluggish at high speeds around 80 mph. It feels like the trans is slipping or so. it also does it if I am traviling about 40mph then i pass some one it starts it. but if i start at a dead stop and floor it it accelerates like normal. does any one have an idea what is going on with the trans.

Re: transmission problem

When was the last time you had the transmission fluid flushed out and a new filter installed? How many miles are on your truck?

Re: transmission problem

First thing I would do is have the trans flushed out and a new filter put in, About $100 bux, from a good trans shop...

What you are seeing is quite normal, at 40mph and 80mph, the tranny is in overdrive which lowers engine rpms for fuel economy.

No engine is snappy all throughout the engine rpm band.

The computer will have the transmission going to Overdrive whenever it can.

Re: transmission problem

I just checked my Trans fluid and the fluid on the stick as like some type of orange chunks on it. What do make of this?

Orange chunks on it?

CAN YOU TAKES PICTURES FOR US? We need to see this.

Chances are your radiator is defective allowing coolant into you transmission cooler which is part of the rad.

Don't drive it liek this or you will be fixing a US$1500 tranny in addition to a rad replacement.

Honestly, don't drive it until it is fixed.
