04 Celica gts vs. 04 Saleen Focus?

which would be a better all around race car? i know the new saleen focus has the 75 hp shot of NO, but the celica has more engine power. my girlfriend is wanting to get one or the other and she will be modding it, and drag racing but also wants it to handle well. IMO i would say the celica gts. what do you guys think? thanks

in a celica, a little over 300, i know if you had 230 youd hit mid 14's prob around 280 to hit 13's

t67 turbo on the fully built vvtl-i and run 9's or just get a turbo kit that'll bump you up to 260hp...at the same time you can still boost higher (not recommended) 04 celica are high compression...better off getting forged piston and rods and do a 3 or 5 angle valve job...and your set...

Re: 04 Celica gts vs. 04 Saleen Focus?

okay thanks guys thats a lot of help. also (this probably should be in a different forum) but i was wondering what would be a good price to pay for a new 04 celica gts. leather, six spd, action package etc.. ive looked on edmunes and Kelly's blue book and have got different prices. my girlfriend went to a dealership (alone) and they really tried to screw her(told her with all taxes and fees that she would need to pay $575 a month for 72 months!!) thats with a $5000 down payment! she would have been paying like 41,400 for a celica! that pissed me off so i told her i would help her. i figured that after all dealer fees and taxes she should not pay over 25,000 - 5,000 for a down payment. is this about right? to low or to high? please let me know what would be a good price total - thanks a lot
