help on finding mechanic, from rochester ny

Hi,

I recently bought a used '97 Acura CL 2.2, and the check engine light came on last night. I obviously need to take it in to someone to get it checked out, but I have been away from Rochester for about 5 years and need to find a reliable mechanic. I've had some pretty bad experiences with my family's mechanic the past few times I went there, so I don't really have any recommendations to go on besides their recommendation for that mechanic.

Any suggestions or advice for finding someone who does a nice job and preferably works on Acuras regularly would be very, very welcome! I'm willing to go anywhere in the area, and I live in western Rochester so places in between here and Buffalo are also fine.
