Question fog lights

Im installing fog lights on my 99 tahoe which ride on my grill guard. Im wondering if ill be able to ground the wires form the lights to the guard or if i have to go to the frame, although they are connected. Also, where are the high beam wires located if i want to connect the switch to the high beams, or do i have to?

Re: fog lights

You can do whatever you like, if you want them hooked up to the high beams, you can. Just use a relay however to power the fog lights. The fog lights, if you were to hook up to the high beams directly, would most certanly cause a overload, and fuses to blow constantly. Personally I would still use the relay, but I would have the fog lights operated independently from the other lights using a separate switch mounted into a knockout panel on the dashboard. -Chris
