Strange problem
I have a 1991 Grand Marquis with 74,000 miles
The other day while driving...I lost power,my gas petal was like butter.I found it was the throttle body had broken, I made a temporary fix with a nail.Took it for a test drive it ran fine until the car completely shut down, like the battery was dead, jumped it..took it home.Asked a mechanic and he suggested the alternator was bad...bought a new one put it in it starts fine but if I apply the breaks,or any accessories the power seems to drain lights go dim,the dinging sound for the door sounds weird etc...and then the car will quit any ideas? |

Re: Strange problem
If the battery goes dead, if the regulator and/or alternator dies then there;s nothing to power the accessories.
Does the blower works in all speeds? Could be a short. |
