Keyless FOB Programming 1996 Lumina APV Minivan?

Hello,

I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina APV minivan and I need to program a new keyless entry fob. I have found several procedures but none for this specific year and none work. This van does not seem to have a 'bcm pgrm' fuse and I can not find a program button behind the glove compartment as some people have suggested. The key fobs for this van have a lock, unlock and power door release. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have, this is driving me crazy.

Thanks,
Bac0n

The program button is well hidden. It can't really be seen, but must be felt. Once you have the glove box out, look for a bundle of wires running up to a connector just under the dash, right behind where the latch for the glove box used to be. If you put your right index finger on one side of the connector, and your left index finger on the other side, the left index finger should be able to feel the program button. It's a tiny thing, with a ring of plastic around it. Pushing it means pressing your finger toward the back of the vehicle. With the key in the "on" position, push the program button; the locks will lock and unlock to indicate that you're in program mode. Push any button on your remote within 10 seconds, and the locks will lock and unlock again to confirm that it's been programmed. If you have another remote, push any button on it within another 10 seconds to program it, and repeat for up to 4 remotes. Turn the key off, and confirm that all your remotes are working properly.
